Storywise is a literary platform that helps authors improve their manuscripts and connect with publishers to get their work published and selling. Our tools include AI-assisted content generation and improvement, powerful manuscript editing features, and a network of publishers, agents, and authors looking to publish new stories.
Storywise is designed for authors at any stage of their writing journey, whether you're preparing your first manuscript or fine-tuning a polished draft for submission.
We support a wide range of genres within both fiction and non-fiction.
After creating an account, navigate to the "Upload Manuscript" section on the home page, select your file, and follow the prompts. Supported file formats include Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF.
Yes, you can update your manuscript anytime in your account dashboard. Revisions will overwrite the previous version unless you choose to save separate drafts.
Once uploaded, you can generate AI-assisted content, request a critique, and create a professional book listing to share with publishers on the Storywise Network.
Our AI tools can create a logline, keywords, comparative titles, a short plot description, a synopsis, and an author bio tailored to your manuscript.
While the AI provides strong foundational content, we recommend reviewing and customizing the outputs to match your unique voice and story.
No, as authors ourselves, we support your right to be solely in control of your creative output. We will not use your manuscript to train generative AI models or large language models (LLMs).
Our critiques evaluate overall structure, pacing, character development, plot consistency, dialogue, world-building, and marketability. You’ll receive actionable insights to strengthen your work.
Yes, you can select specific chapters or the entire manuscript for critique. (coming soon)
Critiques are generated through a blend of AI analysis and insights from experienced editors.
Use the "Book Listing" feature to generate and edit your manuscript details, including logline, synopsis, and keywords, into a professional and compelling advert for your book. Make sure to save your work.
Simply set the 'Get Discovered’ toggle underneath the book listing cover to ON.
Publishers on the Storywise Network can search for manuscripts based on their preferences (e.g., genre, keywords). Each acquisition editor or agent using our platform has a specific wish list of the types of stories they are interested in (their taste profile). For all subscribers, we’ll actively promote manuscripts that fit the taste profiles of publishers and agents on the network and remind them via email to take a look at your book listing. If they like the metadata in your booklisting (logline, keywords, synopsis, author bio), they can request the full manuscript from you through the Storywise platform. You will see and can approve their request on the Network Activity tab in your dashboard.
You will be notified via an email whenever a publisher or agent that liked your book listing requests the full manuscript with a link to your account to approve the request. You can also track all views and interactions from publishers and agents on the dashboard. Paying subscribers get to see more details. To view activity, select an uploaded book, and then click the Network Activity tab in the side menu to see what traction the book is getting.
